Nokia 808 PureView - The last of the high end Symbians?

It really come down to how badly you want the 41 MP camera. Nokia's 808 PureView is here. It is very like the last high end phone you will find running the Symbian OS, which was outdated two years ago.  The 4-inch 360 x 640 AMOLED display with clear Black Technology is still not bad to look at, though most would agree that it is rather pixelated by todays standards. The single core 1.3 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM is more than enough to run Symbian Belle. But in the end, running Symbian Belle, it is really best to consider this as a very good feature phone than a high end smartphone.

The principal feature is the 41 MP autofocus camera with a 1/1.2-inch sensor, making this the kind of camera phones. The crazy high 41 MP is really more to allow you to use up to 4x digital zoom without appreciable deterioration in image quality. It has a Carl Zeiss lens, and a Xenon flash to complete its killer camera. The phone camera can also do 1080p video and do 6x zoom without appreciable loss in image quality.

Just how good is the image quality? Check out this comparison by Engadget.

In order to keep all those high resolution videos it has 16 GB of internal storage, a MicroSD card slot and USB-on-the-go, so you can offload content to a flash disk.

The price for all this is a Php24,900. So how badly do you want a killer camera and camcorder in your phone?
