Android Finally Surpasses Symbian as the Top Mobile Smartphone OS in the Philippines

Last month, Google Android operating system became the top mobile operating system in use in the Philippines, according to statistics gather by StatCounter. Please note, these statistics do not measure sales, but page impressions.

As of end of August Android was at 28.2%, with SymbianOS trailing at 25.8%. But from the chart the trend is pretty clear. Every loss for the Symbian OS, is a gain for the Android OS.

Symbian Series 40 features phone still represent 13.2% of the total, so Nokia phones are still on top in terms of online use, with a total of 39% of page impressions being generated by these phones.
