More and more Android phone manufacturers are starting to build dual SIM phones. While dual SIM phones were traditionally cheap "China" brand phones, major manufacturers started making lower end dual sim phones. Last month Samsung released a dual SIM Galaxy S II in China, so it looks like dual SIM phoes are no longer relegated to entry level phones these days.
While we do not have a dual SIM Samsung Galaxy S II in the Philippine market, LG has released a dual SIM Android phone, the LG Optimus Net Dual P698. While we have had low cost dual SIM Android from Alcatel, Torque and Lenovo, the LG offering will probably be more appealing to those looking for a phone from a more established smartphone manufacturer.
LG Optimus Net Dual P698 is based on the LG Optimus Net P690 with a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 pixel resolution screen, a 800MHz processor and a 3.2 megapixel camera running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The LG Optimus Net Dual P698 can be had Php8,750 with a one year official warranty.
